Seminoles Survive Boston College To Win ACC Opener

The third-ranked Florida State Seminoles (3-0, 1-0) survived Boston College (1-2, 0-1), leaving Boston with a 31-29 win on Saturday afternoon.

The Seminoles built a 31-10 lead midway through the third quarter but the Eagles rallied with three touchdowns to pull within 31-29 with 5:19 to go in the game. But the Seminoles made the defensive plays they needed down the stretch to hang onto the victory.

Jordan Travis left the game to have his ankle examined at the end of the first half, but returned for the second half and played the second half in its entirety. He went 16-of-24 with 212 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for another 38 yards. For the Seminoles, it was their ninth consecutive win.
